Review content:
Hap's Grill on Main Street is a Salisbury standby that I enjoyed growing up and still have to have when I go home to visit my parents. Hap's is in the narrowest building in Salisbury - a mere nine feet across. You walk up to the counter, order, and pay (cash, I believe, only). The grill is always already fired up and hot and they sling your order together in a gloriously messy fashion. You *must* have the chilli on your burger or dog - that's what makes it so amazing. Order your hotdog or burger and Cheerwine in a bottle, then head outside. There's a small standing bar to the side inside which you might be able to stand at during off hours, but it's always been too crowded to eat at when I've been there. Outside under the trees there's a tall table where you can stand and eat - that's the best way to enjoy Haps - but there is also a garden tucked away behind the courthouse that's really nearby and a great place to carry your meal to.
