The Englewood CO store is absolutely top drawer for Italian food and service. This is FAR beyond what one would expect of a chain restaurant. The food is excellent, the presentation is attractive, the quantities are large (be prepared to take food home). The hot food is very hot and the cold food is cold. However, it is the service that far exceeds what one has a right to expect from any chain restaurant. What's more, the food AND the service has been consistent across about 10 visits. ALL the wait staff is totally knowledgeable about the company, its history, the menu as well as the ingredients of the menu items. They are exceptionally attentive - about what you would expect to receive in a pricey 4-star restaurant but never at a chain. One waiter we now ask for by name is Pete (He has a long career in restaurant service and I believe he has been at Carrabba's since this store's opening). The first time we met, on our first visit last year, I thought he was the managing partner because of his caring and his deep knowledge of Carrabba's business, its menu and wines. Also it is remarkable to be greeted by name even when we have not been in for a month. The staff training at this establishment obviously is extensive and it shows. I can get excellent food at over 500 restaurants in Denver but few offer this level of personal service. I have heard from others that other Carrabba's locations may not operate up to this standard - so perhaps the performance of this store is due to its manager, training and its carefully selected staff.
