Businiess name:  Yen Ching

Review content:
I've been going to Yen Ching's at least 3-4 times a year for the past 20 years. I think the food is terrific. Normally, the service is good and the atmosphere is pretty typical for a Chinese Restaurant. I went to Yen Ching's today with a college friend to celebrate her birthday. She also has gone to Yen Ching's for the same 20 years. As typical, the food was very good and it didn't take too long to receive the main course. The only problem was our waiter today must have been a little distracted. The main course came, but we had to remind him that we hadn't gotten our soup yet. Going to this restaurant for as long as we have, we tend to know the order of how the lunch meal is supposed to come out. Soup first, then main meal with the crab meat rangoons. Then there is the issue of the water. Many, many years ago there was an excellent waiter that worked there that filled up our water almost before we drank it. He was friendly and fun to talk with. Today, are water glasses sat empty for a really long time. I finally got the waiter's attention and asked him for more water. He nodded and proceeded to forget. My friend eventually got up and got a water pitcher that was sitting on a shelf and filled our water glasses. After I drank that glass of water (approximately 15-20 minutes following our initial request for water), our waiter came and filled our glasses. I remarked to my friend that I really missed the waiter we had years ago. Anyway, most of the time, I've had no problems with this restaurant. This must have been an "off" day for service. I still would recommend it if you want some tasty Chinese food.
