OK.. Tobie's Tail Wind Tavern in Moncks Corner is great food! The personal greeting from her, Tobie is the best, she greets her members and guest like shes known them for years. Visiting here several months ago.. we were impressed with her atmosphere, Tobie's staff is full of customer service that is exquisite. Tobie hugs everyone she meets, sits down and even chats with everyone. She sends special little apetizers to yur table, just to see if you approve, her southern flavor for the Greek side and the Southern chrm side is eclectically wonderful. Everyone seems to know her. she walks around giving hugs and pecks on the cheek, makes you wanna come back every day. Shes a true and genuine person. She is one of the most dedicated women I have come to know. You can find her early in the morning sitting on the rivers edge with her always coffee and Bailey's, petting her gator and calling the birds, and watching the deer lope across the river. She has one heck of a set of lungs and can sing the blues like Bonnie Raitt and country like patsy Cline, she has a house band called Barnacle Bob and the Lost Bouys, they are Fabulous! you can find Tobie playing the Congos and bartending and waiting tables in one night. The Lady doesnt stop. she stated that serving others is what God called her to do.. She does it with all of her heart, and is one of the best in her feilds. We decided, just because, to move here from Maryland, just because we found a true new friend and the best there is of service and true freindliness there at Tobie's Tail Wind Tavern. First it was to have a second home, now.. we are there for good. Quaint town and wonderful people. The wait staff is dedicated not only to customers, but they will tell you they love Momma Tobie, and wouldnt work anywhere else. The customer base and memberships patrons will tell you the same. She has the best kept secret in Moncks Corner South Carolina. Thanks Tobie Mixon Phillips for being you.
Cons: the parking lot needs work, but its well worth the trouble to go in. the lot is of rock, but its only bad when it rains, but then again, Reds in Mt Pleasant is the same, so compared..Go anyhow
