Businiess name:  Edens Drilling

Review content:
We hired Edens Drilling to do foundation work on our house. They went well over their estimated budget, first off. Then during the repair process they said we "may have" a plumbing leak. We paid hundreds of dollars to a plumber who conducted tests and confirmed that there was a leak. Later, after we had new carpet installed, the plumbers came back and changed a few more hundreds of dollars to run a camera down and locate the leak. They had to lift the new carpet and jackhammer through the floor to get to it. When they did, they found that Edens Drilling had run a pier through the pipe. The FHA inspector called Edens and told them to come immediately, that it was an emergency. When they did, they acknowledged that they'd created the problem and offered to pay. Then they left "to get a check." They reported later from the office that they weren't coming back with that check because it was in the contract that they didn't have to cover the expense of any damages they'd caused that were more than 18" deep. My problem is, contract or no, they KNEW they'd created that leak and were dishonest about while we might still have saved the cost to test for a leak, and search for the leak with a camera, and jackhammer to it, and re-stretch brand new carpet. My problem is that they were deceitful and dishonorable, and were not accountable for a problem they acknowledged they'd created. Rather than do the right thing at any point in the process, they misrepresented themselves, then fell back on a contract and blew us off. Final tally: About $3000 for the repair, and they smugly declined to help. So, unless and until they agree to settle, I'm going to be posting reviews about this company and telling people at every opportunity. Hire them at your own risk. They're dishonest when they mess up, and are unforgivably careless as soon as they dig 18" down. At that point you're totally on your own.
