Review content:
A unique neighborhood gem of a restaurant. Food is California/ Italian with emphasis on what?s fresh in the marketplace. Good steaks, pastas, gourmet pizzas and rotisserie chicken from the wood fired oven as well as fresh fish (often local line caught) as well as other specials daily make this one of the best restaurants in Santa Cruz. Multiple dining rooms allow them to be kid friendly and date friendly at the same time room. You can also eat at the cooks counter and the bar which makes it great for single diners looking for good quality food. Also large selection of local Santa Cruz Mountain and Italian wines many by the glass. Good knowledgeable and friendly servers. It?s a little out of the way but worth finding. I would suggest reservations on Saturday nights or if you want a table by the fireplace.
Pros: Good creative specials every day. Early Prix fix are great bargains as is ?Prime Rib Thursdays?
Cons: Bar can get a little crowded for the Wednesday wine tasting special
