Businiess name:  Big Bear Brewing
Review by:  Chris B.
Review content:
With all the microbreweries popping up around town, it's hard to tell one from the other with one exception. The Big Bear Brewery is in a class of its own. Sure it has home brewed beers made right on the premises, but what separates this microbrewery from the rest is the food and service. Begin you dinner with Big Bear's signature beer cheese soup which is served in a bread bowl. Another great soup is the clam chowder which is chock full of clams not potatoes. Or try one of their salads, which are so large they could almost be a meal in itself. I highly recommend Big Bear's meaty, fall-off-the bone ribs. Steaks here are tender and cooked to perfection. I've had the catch of the day on several visits and found the salmon or dolphin to be fresh and mild. Not a meatloaf lover myself, a dinning companion raved over Big Bear's distinctive version of this American classic. Looking for a lighter meal? Big Bear also serves a variety of pizzas, which are mouth watering. Hamburger aficionados will not be disappointed with the large, juicy ones served here. If you're not too stuffed, desserts are both a visual and edible treat. Do take the time to taste the beer. If you can't decide which one to have, try the sample tray. You won't be disappointed. And, for the under 21 set, there is even a home brewed root beer.
