Review content:
I don't ever like shopping. Never. I run into stores with purpose and drive to make the time quick and effective. However at Tara Home, I spent 3 hours. I had tea. Was met by the purple turbaned making jokes, having fun with me and engaging me with his knowledge, well mostly his passion about each piece that he and his partner (never met the partner, but he was often referred to)) had found, sought or designed. He was elated about his two new stores on Melrose which he said gave him the chance to share his philospohy of created a ho0use which is sacred, engaging, restorative and loving. He served Yogi tea and spoke with passion about the tea. Everything he spoke about, he spoke with a great love for his clients life and their homes. While I was there it was like a parade of every beautiful person in LA coming for tea and to see Jagat. These were not just physically beautiful people, but as Jagat said, the most beautiful souls in LA visit each day. While I was there , he bounced between me and three other sets of people all having tea, sitting in his space, listening to the most incredible soundtrack for the day. I have never seen men and woman enjoying shopping so much. And while my visit started with curiosity as I had seen this placde when I went to Chaya Venice many time, it has quickly turned into a place that I go when I want to elevate, relax and enjoy the company of new friends. Oh yeah, he sells the most incredibly beautiful furniture in LA. Pieces handselected by him and his partner in Tibet, China, India, Mongolian and other Asian countries. What they dont find they design and make themselves. Each piece feels incredible, looks amazing and is the only Indian furniture store in California that does not look like every other one. The store smells amazing with candles and incense Jagatairships over from Bhutan and Nepal. Not sure what else I can say other than every staff I have met, is as nice, sweet and caring as the owner. Pros: Mix, beauty, staff and owner Cons: None yet.
