I LOVE real Mexican food! My family could live on Mexican food... my sons eat it like it's going out of style, and blame me for eating it while I was pregnant!!! Well, even though we love Mexican food, we are picky. We have probably tried every new Mexican restaurant in the area, judging them to see if they offer something special to keep us returning. One place we somehow missed, Alvarados, located in a shopping center here in Moore, was calling out to me! A friend and I decided to try it out yesterday while the kids were at school, hoping to enjoy a nice, quiet, yummy lunch! Well, Alvarados exceeded our expectations!!! The server greeted us immediately upon entering. She sat us at a very comfortable, quiet table, in a room decorated with many neat relics from the Mexican culture. She immediately brought out chips, salsa, queso and tortillas... yummy appetizers I could munch on all day!!! We ordered our meals, and I was a bit hesitant. I love cheese enchiladas, but at so many commercialized restaurants, you get those nasty things that taste like they just came from a can. Fortunately, I decided to try one.... oh my gosh, everyone... I will definitely be going back for more!!!!!!!! They are made with the real cheese, so full of flavor.... it's not easy to get me to go crazy over a cheese enchilada, especially since I'm known for making "the best" here at home! But Alvarados enchiladas definitely got my interest! The rest of the food was wonderful as well. The server was attentive, and not overbearing. It was a very pleasant experience! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, like me, who loves a good Mexican meal!
