Businiess name:  Black Sheep
Review by:  Robyn H.
Review content:
When we first came up to Ashland on a school trip in 1997, we were drawn to the Black Sheep in spite of its intimidating staircase. We have gone through many restaurant phases in the last eight years, but the Black Sheep is where we go for warm ambience, welcoming staff, great food, and wonderful weekend entertainment. The Black Sheep hosts a local Irish music group every Sunday. They are there every week, rain or shine, from 2-5, and the sound is different every time. Sometimes there are 20 musicians, sometimes there are 8, but they are always spirited. There is even a man who does traditional Irish dancing, and members of the "audience" are invited to get up and dance when the spirit moves them. The Black Sheep has wonderful food on the menu, interesting specials, and reasonable prices. It has the feel of a traditional pub, but it's not limited to bangers and mash. And smoking is only allowed after 11. They have games you can borrow, a dart board, and a red phone booth where you can make your cell phone calls in relative silence. Just a great place to go!
