Have just come from Amerigos for the 2nd time! I am from Portland and met a group of friends for dinner the first visit....came on my own this time! Lucky Lake Oswego! This is a real breath of fresh air. Locally owned, family oriented and everything on the menu is made from scratch. Right down to the mustard and catsup, as I understand it! Had the corned beef sandwich and it was "to die for!" I was told it is air freighted in from the East Coast. This, in my opinion, is what corned beef is all about. Also tried the Grilled Chicken Breast, Fresh Pears and Toasted Hazelnut pasta. It is tossed with a gorgonzola sauce and touch of hazelnut liqueur. Yummmm!
There is an outside dining patio, however, it hasn't been open due to the chilly, rainy weather
we've been having. It does accomodate quite a few people for those who enjoy outdoor dining.
The staff is friendly and helpful. They also have a really great wine and beer selection....reasonably priced. Oh! And the desserts!! Oh, the desserts! A great selection of homemade ice creams and sorbets also! A must for anyone who visits this restaurant.
I encourage anyone who is looking for a new "regular" spot to frequent to try this place. It's well worth the drive!!
