Chaos.
That's the scene every time I take my kids to Chuck E. Cheese's.
Okay, to be honest, it's not as bad if you go during the week when it's not a school holiday. But any other time, it's a madhouse.
They do stamp the kids' and parent's hand when you enter, and check it when you leave, to be sure the right kid leaves with the right parent. I wouldn't let my kid out of my sight, though -- you just never know if the door person is going to be actually AT THE DOOR.
Sometimes the games work, sometimes they don't. Most of the time there are an incorrect number of balls in the Skee-Ball machines. The machines take your tokens a lot of times or they run out of tickets. If you can find an employee, they'll refund your token without question, but still...kids get mad at this kinda stuff.
The food is greasy and overpriced. Make sure you use a coupon. Or better yet, don't eat there at all.
Birthday parties are ridiculously steep.
My kids were mad because one of the animatronic characters was broken on our last visit ("Mom, why aren't the drummer's mouth and hands moving?")
And the little machine that you feed your tickets into and get a little summary printout? It was broken. (Full of tickets.)
I've done a Mystery Shop at this location before, and it didn't do very well, as you can imagine. The food took longer than the company told me to expect to wait, the staff was supposed to come and check on you and ask how your food was and they didn't, stuff like that.
So it's not a matter of all CECs being bad...or maybe it is, but this one especially didn't meet standards.
Take your kids to the park to run off their excess energy...skip this place.
