I love the Pelham Civic Complex and have been here for many occasions in my past and surely will be at tons more in my future. Everything has always been pleasant but the food at the banquet area that is prepared by the Cullinard Catering has got to be the worst ever. I have been to a few banquets there recently and the food is just terrible. I know that many other people feel the same as I do. I recently went there and paid $25.00 per plate for a dinner for 4 of us in my family. As soon as we left the banquet we went to Hwy 119 to the fast food places to get something to eat. They served us this meat that none of us knew if it was pork tenderloin, turkey, or roast beef. The meat was in 3 inch circles and slided paper thin and we all got 3 of these slices covered in what we though was gravy but it was COFFEE GRAVY....OOHHHHH YUCK. This was what was chosen for a high school banquet when 1/2 of the room was teens who thought it was awful as well. When you are served your plate, some of the food may be hot and another item on the same plate is stone cold. The tea is Always unsweet but there is never enough sweetener for the folks at the table. I used to work for a catering company and know that you have to please the groups that you are serving. The food leaves ALOT to be desired.
