High praises for Pearls. My daughter is a part of this great program.
It is available at this time to the northern part of Milwaukee. Although any girl in any area of Milwaukee can join and attend meetings.
They will even supply the teen girls with bus tokens so that they can attend. Pretty cool huh?
Sad thing is, not many people know of this great program and the word of mouth really needs to spread.
Over the summer of 2005 my daughter took sailing lessons at the lakefront. Totally free due to corporate sponsorship.
They offer many outings and field trips. Have some terrific guest speakers too. I sat in on one gathering and they had someone come in to teach the girls real African dance. That was an experience I shall never forget.
If you have a teen daughter I encourage you to call Pearls For Teen Girls and get your child involved. They will thank you for this one.
A little about Pearls. It is a support style group of caring adult women that offer a safe place for teen girls to come and talk about the issues that they are dealing with in today's high peer pressure world.
