Businiess name:  Skate Heaven Entertainment Complex
Review by:  Becky F.
Review content:
Located conveniently, behind Shoney's and near the interstate, Skate Heaven is really the only option for entertainment for kids in Denham Springs proper. Thankfully, it's a good option -- reasonable prices, a separate "kiddie rink" for beginners, a large play area (tunnel mazes, like at McDonalds, only bigger) and a smaller play area just for little ones below a certain size. There's a laser tag area upstairs (very small and not very fancy, but enough to satisfy small kids and those who haven't visited the VASTLY superior Laser Tag of Baton Rouge), and there are lots of birthday party rooms. Hint: choose a Sunday party and you'll get slightly more time. Party rooms are so small they're claustrophobic, so it's a good thing the kids don't stay in there long...but compared to some other alternatives in the Baton Rouge area, party prices are very fair. Be sure to tip the party hostess! The food area has all the typical fare for a skating rink -- hot dogs, nachos, candy bars, icees, and chips. Prices aren't a great bargain but they're average for a skating rink. There are a dozen or so video games, ride-ons, and ball games for tickets. Central location, lots of activities, reasonable prices, family atmosphere -- these folks do it right. Slightly bigger party rooms and cleaner restrooms and it'd get a perfect score.
