Loungecraft ripped-off a senior citizen and family with missing goods scam. American Red Ball allows agent Loungecraft free-run refusing to take responsibility. The driver admitted many clients over the years reported missing goods so if we didn't want missing goods we needed to buy extra insurance for $700 (no brochure). We couldn't and ended up with thousands of dollars of missing goods. The "Bureau" told us 40% of complaints from clients about lost goods from trucking companies didn't have insurance and workers feel they can take what they want. As we were going to mediation, the Bureau "departed" the honest worker to support Loungecraft, their member. Loungecraft is not the "family company that cares" and hires cheap help with "irregularities". They put them back into peoples' homes. Goods were found missing from drawers, boxes placed in door pathways and closets. Among missing were tools, cash, artwork, embroideries, handcrafted, antiques, clothing, shoes and heirlooms that survived the Holocaust but not Loungecraft workers. A car visited one worker who had put a box on the side of the truck with no door; another ran out with a box. The driver threatened us. The owners refused to call back for one month and then refused to return our goods. They said they are not responsible for "theft" only furniture damage, don't screen workers and do not hold workers responsible. The workers spoke about a store they sold from and an independent warehouse. They did not weigh the truck interstate. The USDOT and NYDOT refused to regulate the law, taxes and tarriffs. When questioned, USDOT admitted that they took Loungecraft's complaints off the computer and filed them. What is it called when goods are not given but taken? The DA's Office called it "A Shopping Day". Read RipOffReport and Movingscam to protect yourself from movers not their bureau membership reports which they pay for! Pros: American Red Ball protects its own interests allowing agents free-run to scam . Cons: American Red Ball is not the large reliable company it portrays itself to be.
