When I was looking for a dog several years ago, I visited every shelter in Boulder, and another one in Denver before coming to the Dumb Friends League. Sure, he could've been picked up and taken to any shelter, but the folks at this one seemed especially caring and knowledgeable.
The only reason they're not getting five stars is because they told us they would be visiting in the future to check up on him, but they never did. I'm kind of disappointed, because I'd like them to what a happy, healthy doggy this once starving stray has become.
