I booked the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino sometime in January. Actually there is 3 other couples traveling with us that also booked the Monte Carlo with you.
Here goes?..We got so ripped off, to begin with the customer service I received was horrible. Every time I called the Travel department I either was transferred or no one had a clue what was going on. I paid a total of $498.00 for a stay at the Monte Carlo from May 3rd to May 5th. I go to the Monte Carlo official website and the price their price is $315.99!!! That is a difference of $182.01, which is a lot of money. I called and asked if we could cancel (long before now) and the lady I talked to was soooooo very rude and said it would cost $75.00 per person to cancel!!! What is that all about?? Are you kidding me $150.00 to cancel?? At this time I also asked her if there was any way we could get some type of discount and she flat out said NO. I am so very disappointed with AAA travel on this. This is my first time using AAA travel and my last. On another note, I have been doing some research on the internet about this Hotel and found that there is a lot of construction going on around the hotel and we were never informed of this. BEWARE!! TOTAL RIP OFF ON RATES! YOU ARE BETTER OFF USING EXPEDIA (BETTER CANCELLATION POLICY) OR GOING THROUGH THE HOTEL ITSELF!!
**I complained to AAA Travel online and I got the worst e-mail from an on-line rep. Like I said BEWARE!!
