I had the good fortune to be referred to Dr. Christopher Ruppert at Mid-Monroe because my dog became ill and my regular vet was away--bummer. Located on Route 17 M in Monroe, Dr. Ruppert took over this vet practice in April of 2005. He was formerly a vet at the Bronx Zoo;he took care of the elephants. This personable vet checked Tay out, asked questions and assured me that he would be fine. I appreciated the attention, especially since we were a referral and not one of his regular clients. It didn't seem to matter--we were treated kindly and with care. The office is open 6 days a week including evenings and Saturday. There are special discounts for multiple pets and senior citizens--how civilized! Dr. Ruppert's office also boards pets who are clients. This vet is a keeper.
