Review content:
We've amazed and grateful to have such a high quality Japanese restaurant like Shogun in Lancaster. The food is very high qualty, with meticulous prep. We eat Japanese food all over the US, and Shogun is at the top of our list. The atmosphere is quiet and soothing, and the wait staff adds to the atomosphere with their caring, accomodating, and friendly attitude. We look forward to going to Shogun on special occasions, like birthdays (they have a delicious sushi called "Birthday Maki"), or when it's just been a long, hard week and nothing sounds better than an evening of gentle treatment, savory food, endless cups of sesame-flavored green tea (you can buy a tin to take home) or several warm cups of saki (you must bring your own and they will warm it and bring it to you). We get to go on New Year's eve for my husband's birthday. Can't wait!
Pros: Easy access on Columbia Blvd, easy parking, intimate and quiet. .Reservations are not usually needed, surprising for such an excellent place.
Cons: Place is not usually crowded, but If it is a busy night, you may have to wait longer for food since both chef staff wait stafff are small.
