This review is near and dear to my heart. This place has been a part of my life since I can remember! Everytime we would get done swimming at the Clarion Pool, we would all get together and take a walk up to THE HOT DOGG HOUSE and Eddie would be there waiting for us. I would ALWAYS get a cheese dog with Andy Capp Chedder Fries and a pepsi. As I started growing older,....he had my order ready right away. After I had my son, I took him over to his OTHER establishmet across the bridge, so he could order HIS hot dog like I always have. When I showed up, Eddie came ot and gave me a hug. And then I introduced him to my son. He smiled and FINALLY said the words I haven't heard in a VERY long time,...."WHAT CAN I GET YOU??" My son got his "usual" a regular dog with Ketchup, a root beer, and some Andy Capp Chedder Fries. (Just like his mother with the fries!) And Eddie looked at me and said, "Your usual?" And I said, "Not today Ed. I hve chnged my taste." He was shocked, but wasn't surprised. Now, when we go there at least once week over in Shippenville, I get my "usual" 2 to 3 Taco Dogs, Chedder Fries, and a Sprite. But my son,...he is holding the tradition and gets,.....his "usual". So,...To Eddie "Weenie",...I want to say Thank You for ALWAYS making this customer feel happy and welcomed after all these years. I just hope that you remain opened even if my son gets older because maybe, someday, his tastes will change like mine!! (hee-hee!!!) I recommend THE HOT DOG HOUSE with 2 THUMBS WAY, WAY, WAY UP and a cheers to EDDIE WEENIE...you are the best.
