Stephanie Pergerson did the appraisal on my home 2 years ago. Now I was living in California at the time and bought the house based on pictures my sister had took for me so I wasn't completely sure of the layout. Turns out she used the layout of another home which was almost 200 sft bigger than mine. I just sold my house and listed it using the square footage her appraisal stated, since I figured it was reliable. Well it wasn't and when the buyers got their appraisal done I found out about Stephanie's mistake. I had to lower my price by $5000, within a week of closing. My agent called Stephanie and said she admitted to her error and was very apologetic and wanted to rectify the situation. She was going to call me but never did so I called her. We chatted and she was very sorry or at least she said she was. She gave me the same lines...she wanted to make it right adn was going to talk to her insurance company. Well it has been almost a month and I never heard back. I have called her a half a dozen times in the past 2 weeks with no return call. I really didn't want to have to take her to court but it appears I will need to. I just want whats fair and what I lost. I have talked to attorneys and they all agree I have a case so we shall see. So anyways, BEWARE!!! If you do go through her, check her work thoroughly!!! Cons: Horrible customer service and not accurate. Don't waste your money or time.
