Review content:
I was so excited to hear of a new grocery store coming to our area until the buzz that this was going to be a very specialized, very expensive store. During the second week of it's opening, I made my first trip to check it out, and it is neither specialized nor expensive.
Hannaford boasts many "everyday low prices" on items such as eggs (one dozen for $.88), Country Kitchen whole wheat bread ($.99 a loaf), and potatos (5 pound bag for $1.50). Although you can get these prices at other stores on and off throughout the year, this is the non sale price at Hannaford.
The store itself is very clean, open, and shopper friendly. Each time I've visited, the checkers have been extremely friendly and efficient.
The introduction of Hannaford to the area has been a definite boost to the shopping in the area.
