CVS is one of my favorite pharmacies to do other shopping! Every week, I wait for the Sunday circulars, just to see what CVS has on sale this week! If you're not a member, where you carry their Extra Bucks card, you should definitely get one, it is completely free, and offers you discounts on many items, but you also earn "extra bucks" when you buy items in their store. Those extra bucks print out on your receipt, and you can use them on your next visit. They print out coupons on similar items to what you have purchased as well. How the extra bucks work, for example, I received a $10 extra bucks coupon on my receipt. The next time I went to CVS, I was able to take $10 off my purchase! They also run specials, for example, a few weeks ago, they were promoting a new, expensive razor. The razor was selling for around ten dollars everywhere. With this special, you could buy that razor at CVS for nine dollars, and on your next visit, you would receive six dollars in extra bucks, so you basically get the razor for three dollars. The best way to rack up these extra bucks is to watch the circulars, or check them out when you go in the store, so that you'll know what specials are running. But, you also earn them for every day purchases, so they are always adding up!
The other cool thing, even without the extra bucks, is that CVS competes with a lot of other chains, so they always have lots of great sales running. Around the beginning of the school year, I was able to stock up on school supplies for much cheaper than if I had purchased them at Walmart. They will offer different items all the time, so I have gotten razors that retail at ten dollars for two, toothbrushes ten cents each, the list goes on and on! If you are a bargain shopper, you can really save some money if you watch for the sales at CVS!
