I recently relocated to Ithaca from Manhattan, and while I would love to return regularly to my stylist there, it's not always possible or cost effective. I have curly hair and have had some terrible cuts in my life, so was not looking forward to the prospect of finding a new salon/stylist here. I called last minute, needing a cut on a Monday- not only are they open, but the owner herself, who doesn't usually work Mondays was happy to get me in at the last minute for an appointment with her. She was familiar with the DevaChan cutting techniques/products because all her stylists regularly travel to NYC and other locations for ongoing training and education, and was even eager to check out Ouidad, the salon that teaches a specialized cutting technique that I love for curly hair when I mentioned it to her (this was my NY salon). I got a great cut for a great price, the friendliest service and welcome in town, and a tour of the spa facilities which look quite relaxing and nice. I highly recommend Crystal's- especially anyone looking for someone good with curly hair! Quality service for quality prices!
