Review content:
Cafe Maison is a nice little nook in the the Waldo area. Nicely decorated with wine country memorabilia. Could use another 5 tables, but that's a good thing. Very cozy atmosphere and attentive service.
The FOOD is outstanding - I recommend the sunday brunch. They've got the option to pick a special selection from their menu (which changes very frequently) and snack from their buffet (croissants, cheese, meat, pate, fruit, dessert, and more). Portions are not Cheesecake Factory sized but are filling and satisfying. Presentation scores points. All this and the place is still affordable - under $20 for a complete meal, every time (although if you mix in a few carafes of mimosa's and you'll easily reach a $100 tab for 2). French styled cuisine and flavor is grand.
Watch out for the wait on busy times (like Mother's Day brunch) they don't do reservations.
Top 5 for me in KC.
Pros: delicious food, service
Cons: waiting is no fun
