Review content:
I've been to OSU's ER many times, as I have a chronic illness and insurance that required me to go there. I have never waited less than 4 hours to be seen, even when I've been triaged as "the sickest person in the waiting room" according to the triage nurse. That day I waited 6 hours and had to have my husband bring me my medicine/machine so I could give MYSELF a treatment in the waiting room...otherwise I'd have had to have been admitted. The doctors are very concerned and caring, the nursing staff is terrific, but the administration and management sucks. They are understaffed, and the system they have in place cannot cope with the sheer numbers of patients they have. Everyone who works there is rushed, tired, and seems to hate it...even though they don't hate the patients. I'm glad I changed insurance and can go elsewhere.
