I'm almost mad at my friend for exposing me to the incredible muffins here! She visits regularly, and brought me 2 muffins as a little gift. That's all it took. I'm hooked. The coffee cake muffin was delicious, moist, flavorful - not too cakey - just perfect. But, the real tastebud explosion happened with my first bite of the gingerbread muffin. Oh. My. Goodness. This muffin gets it's top cut off after baking, and then the most delicious icing is applied, and the top is replaced - so it's sort of like a sandwich... it's the best thing I've ever tasted. More like a dessert than a breakfast - but it's the stuff dreams are made of!
