*Just Cichlids has gone out of business*
Just Cichlids is a locally run, locally run business that specializes in--you guessed it--cichlids, primarily African. (Cichlids are tropical fish, in case you didn't know). The guy that runs the store is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and will cut a deal with you if you have several fish to buy. I've bought 11 fish so far from him and have been very pleased--they have been healthy and thriving for several months now. If you are interested in cichlids, I strongly encourage you to check out this business before going to a place like Petco or Petsmart. The owner knows a lot more about the fish and won't waste your time trying to sell you a lot of useless products (like pH boosters that another fish store told me I just had to have--a lie!!!). It's easy to find once you know where it is--it's located on Triana Blvd near Governors.
Update--several months from writing this post, I am happy to report that I am still very pleased with the service and quality of the fish I continue to receive from Nick, the store owner. The best selection of Africans in North Alabama without a doubt!
