Review content:
Many customer feel Walmart is the place to shop. Yes, they may have a large selection of items with a low price tag, but have you ever paid attention to the customer service? Or lack of customer service I should say.
I use coupons to do my shopping, have for years. Because Walmart seems to be anti-coupon, I refuse to shop there. On my last visit I was made to feel like a criminal because I had approximately 15 coupons. Yes, I had purchased all 15 items. The cashier had to contact a manager to authorize my use of these coupons. And then when one of the coupons would not scan, I was told I couldn't use it at all. Why? Because the cashier couldn't scan it. That to me is Walmarts issue, not mine. If I have purchased the item then I should be able to use the coupon, no questions asked. Instead I was treated poorly.
At that time I asked for all my coupons back and told them I didn't want the items I had intended to purchase. She canceled my order and I let the manager know I would be taking my business elsewhere. His replay to me was "you have that choice." No apology, no offer of an explanation, nothing. Obviously, Walmart has become a little to big for its britches in my eyes.
I may spend a little more by shopping at other stores in the area but at least I am treated with courtesy and respect. I feel I am a valued customer at these other retailers, I have not felt that way EVER in this Walmart.
