The Old California Mining Company located in "Restaurant Row" in San Marcos, Ca is great.
From the moment you enter through the front door you are taken back to the old mining days. From the cozy open fireplace in the center of the waiting area to the vintage decorations throughout, you'll swear you've been magically taken to a different era.
The "Mining Company", as we locals affectionately call it, is a great place to bring family and friends. The "Mining Company" specializes in steaks but has a full menu of delicious items to choose from, including their monster salad bar.
But remember, be sure to bring a "BIG" appetite or prepare to bring a doggy bag home, the portions are "Awesome"! And don't forget to leave room for their delectable desserts...YUM.
