Review content:
When our daughter decided to sign up for guitar class at school we knew we would have to purchase the guitar and thought it would be best if she took some individual classes over the summer before taking the class at school. My husband took her to St. Charles Guitar Exchange to purchase the guitar and we were very happy with the advise we received in helping us make our selection. The staff understood what we needed and steered us to the appropriate electric guitar we needed as a beginner.
As happy as we were with the purchase, we were equally disappointed with the lessons. Our daughter had fun because the instructor enjoyed the same music as she and had her bring in cds each week so he could teach her a song she wanted to learn. This was fun but she never learned more than the very beginning of many songs and learned no basics. In our opinion they were a waste of our time and money.
I would definitely suggest the Guitar Exchange for purchases but maybe not for lessons.
