Review content:
If you saw the movie Born on the 4th of July you may have a skewed concept of health care at VA hospitals. The outpatient care facility if new and it seems like the inpatient areas are newly remodeled as well. Most importantly the service is excellent, provided by caring and knowledgeable staff. One huge area of incompetence is the telephone system which you seem to be required to use in order to make any appointments. The pharmacy and blood draw areas could use some work and haven't kept up with the increasing numbers of enrollment as vets are moving to warmer climates. There was a great piece about VA health care on NBC nightly news this past week and how superior their computer systems are.
