Review content:
The food - The waffle fries were overdone and the water-logged, over-cooked carrots that came with my meal reminded me of high school cafeteria food. The only good thing I can say about this restaurant is that the walleye was decent. That's it.
The service - Spotty. The waitress was nice enough but seemed harried and we waited forever for our drinks.
The atmosphere - Really Gross. The ceiling tiles were sagging and water stained and it looked like insulation was going to rain down on us any minute. Half the lighting fixtures had light bulbs, half didn't. The ceiling vent looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Carter administration. And the bathroom? Don't even get me started. Everything in that place was dingy and dirty.
I know times are tough right now but the owner could do a few things to spiff the place up a bit. I mean, how much is a can of paint and a couple light bulbs? And it doesn't cost anything to clean!
I would NOT recommend Upper Deck.
