Businiess name:  Loaves & Fish Food Pantry
Review by:  Judi S.
Review content:
Who would have thought that this residential area one day would house a food pantry for the poor. A home left to the Catholic Church by its owner was turned into a mini grocery for the local neighbors of poverty level who now occupy many of the once stately homes that have been turned into Welfare Apartments by the new owners. In this day and age food pantries abound, and with all the unemployment, food pantries should first service those families whose members got laid off and are ineligible for services before social services clients drain the. I personally have dropped off foodstuffs many times to this particular pantry and the people that run it are always grateful for any and all donations especially since they are seeing more and more unemployed coming to them trying to make ends meet until they can find other jobs. There are people that use the pantries like L&F then their are those who abuse them but with the help of computerized stats, repeat users are now prevented from taking advantage of the pantries and are only allowed so many visits per year to get groceries. This is a good organization and it gets a thumbs up from me. If anyone wants to donate bring goods to the store and know that they will get to the people who can use them the most.
