What self-respecting sashimi/sushi lover has not been to Morimoto and Pod in hopes of finding good sushi? And even Fuji, Ajia, etc.? And let's face it - who has been satisfied? Not me. Nigiri/Sushi at Morimoto and Pod have been some of the biggest of disappointments. Pod sushi's pretty, I'll give you that - but fresh? No. Within the realm of my experience, Aso has the most fresh and the best tasting sushi-grade fish in Philadelphia. Their sashimi salad, though a little heavy on the sauce (tell them to tone it down to taste the fish), has so much fish in there, it's awesome. Their nigiri and sushi are hands down the best in town. And for those that wimp out on the price of o-toro (fatty white tuna).. just try one. Ah. Melts-in-your-mouth good. Pros: Sashimi, Nigiri, Sushi, homemade green tea, black sesame ice cream Cons: none! decor not as extravagant, but you go here for the food
