Businiess name:  Mortimer's

Review content:
The two-dollar-symbol (out of a possible four) rating by an internet reservation service seems a little confusing in retrospect. Still, the meal that we just enjoyed was top notch; Mortimer's earned every penny. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable -- they answered every question and volunteered a few thoughtful pointers without a hint of arrogance. The atmosphere was subtle and sophisticated, with a soundtrack that was sleek, not stodgy. Courses were expertly timed -- attentive visits earlier, with pace slowing towards the end so we could comfortably linger over coffee and port alone. Admittedly, money could have been saved by passing on the extravagance of the tasting menu, plus wine, plus coffee & port. Even if you turn your meal at Mortimer's into a special occasion like we did, believe that you'll walk away very, very happy. Pros: The tasting menu's mix of complementary flavors were expertly delivered in perfect portions. Cons: If Mortimer's had a view of something notable/romantic, it would be pretty close to perfect.
