Businiess name:  Pleasanton Mothers Club

The Pleasanton Mothers Club is the perfect organization for working and stay-at-home moms alike. The large club body meets once a month at a local elementary school to socialize and hear a special speaker; topics can range widely, from exposing your children to nature to coping with holiday stress. One of the most popular features of PMC is the playgroup creation service: A coordinator collects the information of interested members and arranges permanent playgroups. These groups are fabulous and give mothers and children alike the opportunity to meet and really get to know others in like situations. Although the playgroups do cater primarily to stay-at-home moms, they are also available late afternoons and weekends. A large battery of smaller activity and special interest groups is also offered, including a wine tasting club, Bunko groups, a walking/running club, the In-A-Pinch group (a group of volunteers who make and deliver meals to fellow moms who need assistance), and more. In addition, members have access to a website with a private chat board where a wide array of topics are discussed and recommendations are shared. I joined in June of 2005 and have enjoyed my membership; especially my playgroup! I like that I've been able to get to know other moms in my area, and I love that my toddler daughter has little friends!
