Review content:
I was recently in Savannah on a Insurance seminar. We came across Savannah Smiles and I was a bit apprehensive to go in because of all the vagrants hanging around outside. We all went in while they were playing a very bad Meatloaf medley and it was very loud. A few people wanted to leave and check out other bars, but we stayed and were pleasantly surprised when two new players came on stage. They did more current songs such as soulja boy & crazy biotch etc..instead of the same old hum drum sweet Caroline and margaritaville. It was nice to hear more current songs for a change. If the other players wouldn't have come up and played those songs we would have left for sure. The wait staff was good at first about getting us our drinks, but after a while they seemed to forget about us. They were way under staffed for that size of club. At one point all the wait staff was on stage dancing after we had just put a drink order in and our drinks never showed up!! Why did we need to play $5 cover to get into a bar to watch a bad rendition of coyote ugly? This isn't the 80's still!! Then all four piano players got on stage and did a couple songs as a group. The song I liked the most was Hey ya! The other songs were very boring and they should have quit while they were ahead! When the older guys got back on stage we had to leave... they were kinda a buzz killl! All in all a pretty good time hearing the current stuff and drinking lots of alcohol Pros: never seeing piano players play current music Cons: drinks were really expensive & staff unattentive/ no drink specials
