Businiess name:  King Buffet
Review by:  Denise G.
Review content:
I have friends who swear that King Buffet is the place to go if you like chinese food. I'd have to disagree with them on two points. While King buffet has sushi, and a lot of the traditional take-out chinese dishes (General Tsos chicken, beef and brocc, lo mein, fried rice, etc) the quality is so poor that it will hardly satisfy any particular craving that you had before you walked in. The sushi is questionable, at best....while it is probably edible I tend to steer away from it as there is no telling how long its been sitting out. I think you're better off getting pre-made sushi at Publix at closing time (at least that way you know it was made that day). I've never been wowed by anything on the buffet - I can hardly remember what is on the buffet, which should speak for itself - but if you want variety, they definately have it at King House. Not just variety in Chinese fare, but theres a whole buffet bar dedicated to non-asian foods (I've seen pigs in a blanket there before). Perhaps this is why families like this place so much....everyone can find something to eat. Sundays are seafood days, which means you'll pay more, but they'll keep refilling the king crab, cocktail shrimp, and other seafood bins all day. The only part that I really like is the Ice Cream bar, which has 5 or more scoopable flavors of ice cream (not soft serve). I usually tire of the stuff on the buffets and fill up on ice cream (which makes it not so pleasent to ride home with me). My final verdict.....a big selection of "okay" food....nothing really stands out, nothing is really satisfied...if you just want to eat a lot of OKAY food until you burst at the seams....go for it. If you have a craving for chinese, japanese, or seafood....go elsewhere.
