Review content:
The Wardman Park Marriott is a massive hotel -- indeed, I believe it is the largest Marriott in DC. It has several huge convention rooms and the hotel is often abuzz with convention activity. There is an 'historic' part of the hotel a newer part -- the rooms in the historic part are supposed to be very nice, but having never been assigned to one I cannot comment on them directly. The hotel is located right near the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan station which makes it easy to get into downtown DC. It is about 1/2-3/4 miles from the National Zoo and is also close to a lot of interesting and diverse restaurants. The rooms are very nice and some of them have a view (though a view from afar) of the Washington Monument, National Airport, etc. The staff will also bring a small refrigerator to your room at no charge on your request. Overall, the staff at the hotel are very courteous and will go out of their way to help you. The hotel is set on a nice piece of land and is usually quiet. There are a couple of places to eat within the hotel as well as a Starbucks. Although this hotel does not have the convenience of some hotels located downtown, its proximity to the Metro makes it very easy to get wherever you want to go. It's a very nice property and I would certianly recommend it. PROS: Very nice rooms, helpful staff CONS: Not right in downtown, Extremely large
