Wow, reading these reviews brings back a really bad memory. Five years ago was the last time I was in Cycle Stop. It was to buy a battery which I paid too much for, had to come back the next day for (they had to filled and charged it) only to have it dead after one day in my bike. So, I took out the battery, drove back (in my car) to get a replacement and was told that they could not just give me another one because it may be my charging system that was not working. They told me to go home, check my charging system and, if it was OK, bring back the battery and they would give me another one. I did just what they told me to do. I reinstalled the battery, jump-started my bike, put a voltmeter on the battery and it was reading over 14 volts – the charging system was OK. I took the battery back out, drove back (in my car again) and was now told that I needed to bring my bike in because they did not believe my diagnosis. This is where things went from bad to worse. I asked to talk to the owner and was greeted with the same arrogance that everyone else seems to be complaining about (obviously, the culture is based on leadership). The owner told me that there policy is that they need to check my bike’s charging system before they would replace my battery. I told him that I was instructed by his service department to go home and check it myself. The owner then told me that they should not have done that and I need to bring back my bike. So I asked him, when drive back home (in my car), reinstall the dead battery, jump start my bike, ride all the way back (with my wife following in the car in case I need a jump start), have his “techs” check my charging system and it is OK what he was going to do for me for my aggravation? He looked at me and said, “Replace your battery.” Now I got really mad and very loud in the showroom. So I asked him again, what will he do for me for my aggravation since it was not my fault that I did exactly what his service guys told me to do and now I have to waste more time to prove that the battery is defective? He just gave me a dumb look and repeated, “Replace your battery”. Using an even louder tone, I told him that this is the worst place I have ever done business with and after I get a new battery, I will never set foot in his establishment again. Needless to say, after returning with my bike, having the charging system check to be OK, I was given a new battery (which served me well for several years) and I have never been back. Since then I take the extra time to go to Hollink Motorsports in Spencerport to get any parts or service performed. I have encouraged all of my friends to never go to Cycle Stop. Unfortunately, some have gone anyway (because of convenience) only to be as disappointed and discouraged as I was. Pros: NONE Cons: EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM
