Angel is a wonderful adoption agency who is genuine in helping families connect with adoption opportunities. I know the team is doing what they can, but at the end of the day you do sign a business contract with them and i want to review how they honor that contract. Separate the heart of the situation and the practicality of how your money is used. With that mindset, i find i am not a big fan of the business model and would have wished i seen more before i signed up. 1.They model themselves as an opportunity to connect individuals with expecting mothers and they will work hard to give you the best opportunities, but what they don't accurately represent is that it is purely a seniority system. At 2.5 years we were only shown 75 times, and more than half occurred towards the last 4 months of the contract. Why couldn't we get that service the entire time? I understand why Angel uses the system, it gives families that have been here the longest a first in-line mentality with presentations, but at the end of the day, it is a contract, and you feel like you just wasted 1.5years not being shown. 2. They promote themselves that they market for you, but I requested what could Angel do for us as time went by and we had zero connections. I was told i should be active in social media and start creating tik-tok videos. I'm sorry, i am not social media savvy and isn't that why i signed a contract with Angel, so that they can promote us? If that was the case, I would have spent the $20k on social media companies to promote us versus Angel. 3. Pressuring into additional contracts, at the end of our first contract and we are pressed for extensions but they dont really share there "burn rate". How many expectant mothers are in queue and how many contracts they have? Without that insight how do i know that my money is actually an investment in the situation? What if angel has a significant more backlog of contracts but little in terms of expectant mothers? I think Angel should invest more into building their contacts.
