Donnie is the absolute worst. we hired him to put a coating on our Deck, He said it was guaranteed to last 10 years. It failed within hrs. We found out from the manufacturer of the products he used that he had not only not prepared the surface ( 90% of the job) but had not fallowed the application instructions, & used the wrong product to begin with. ( apparently he didn't do his homework before hand) He made such a mess that it couldn't be repaired only removed. We had to cancel his check for the balance. He threw a huge profanity laced tantrum. & exhibited the most unprofessional behavior we've ever seen. He wanted to come put a 2nd coat of the wrong product on top of the already failed wrong product & get another check. We tried it on a test area & it quickly failed as well. He had no other solutions for a fix but refused to refund our lg. deposit & unbelievably wanted the balance as well! Is this guy nuts or what? He did 2 other tiny jobs for us that day he calls the extra wk. which involved replacing 1 shingle in an easy to reach spot for 50 & fastening 2 screws on 1 loose gutter loose for 100. totaling $150.( He later tried to change the already agreed upon shingle price of 50 to 250 ?) He tried to blame the deck failure on the beach which doesn't work considering our previous coating lasted 6yrs. We've asked him nicely to do the honorable thing - refund our deposit & just deduct the $150 for the extras but he refuses saying that our $1,287.50 deposit covers the extras!? Beware of this man he he will keep your money no matter how badly he messes up, you'll just have to think of it as a donation to the Donnie Long fund.
