Kathryn, Mark, and Kristin Spiegel are slumlords. I am a school teacher and have been renting a duplex built in the 1980's from the Spiegels in Midlothian, TX. The entire time I have lived here I have been dealing with a rat infestation problem. The Spiegels have known about this issue for years and refuse to correct the issues and replace rotten siding, facia, and flooring allowing rodents to enter the home. Since I have informed the Spiegels of this issue they are now attempting to evict me and rent the duplex out to some other unsuspecting citizen of Midlothian, TX. I have always paid rent on time the entire three years and have the bank statements to prove it. The Spiegels are the perfect example of heartless slumlords who are only out to make a buck and do not care about the safety of their tennants.
Fellow citizens of Ellis Co. PLEASE avoid doing business with this family at all costs.
