The Center of Hope changed my life for the better in so many ways. I have never felt more supported, valued, and understood than I did while receiving treatment here. My team was incredible and worked with me to reach my goals and help me find the tools I need to combat the struggles I was facing, but met me where I was at and accepted my for who I was. I felt like I could trust each staff member and that the knowledge and wisdom they were providing me with would help me grow and rediscover a side of myself that I had lost touch with. I felt heard here at the center, and I learned that it is okay to feel the way I do, but that it doesn’t have to last forever. I have grown in so many ways, learning about self-compassion, self-acceptance, and self-respect. I have learned to take care of myself and my body and how to love myself first, so that I can provide that support to others too. I learned how to regulate those unwanted emotions and how to cope in healthy ways. Being here at the center has improved my relationships and given me tools to step back and set boundaries for myself so that I can engage in healthy relationships with myself and others and live a life worth living.
