Kindred Bay Area was just what I needed to continue healing from an infection and I highly recommend them. The referral to admit to this hospital came from a case manager and I'm definiltely pleased that she gave me the suggestion because the staff and physicians have been fantastic. I received daily physician visits from Dr. Dahu - who was very informative. Dr. Briggs was the Wound Care physician and was a God Send! He was able to save my foot and prevent the infection from getting worse by debreiding it, and even said I made a quick recovery for the type of infection I had. The Wound Care team took care of the rest and constantly made sure I was doing good, they even taught me how to properly care for wound, I'll continue Outpatient Wound Care therapy a few times a week to have my dressings changed. The women on that team definitely know what they are doing! The hospital is kept very clean and I had all the supplies I needed in my room at all times. I was even able to bring in my own 32" Tv and gaming system on a rolling cart into my room to help keep myself entertained throughout the day! I thought that was pretty cool that they let me do that. Overall all staff members were knowledgeable and kind but a few stood out to me.. Ann, night shift RN, and Pam, day shift RN.. they both had the best bedside manners and constantly explained things to me. Every time I was given medicine they would tell me what it was for, until I was able to recognize them on my own. The food wasn't too bad, even though I was on a reduced sodium diet, my parents thoroughly enjoyed the cafeteria food catered by Luby's. Kindred provided excellent care and service, thanks to all who helped me get back home!
