I have lived in New York for quite some time, and I've therefore had my fair share of good and bad landlords/management companies. Vanderleigh isn't awful, they're not stellar, they're simply the laziest group of people I've ever met. From when I signed my lease to when I moved out, they managed to do the bare minimum to keep me "satisfied". If you're looking for a place that actually cares about you and your well-being, I'd go somewhere else.
