Let me start by saying the finished product, hard wood flooring and carpeting, is very beautiful and we are very happy. The journey was not enjoyable at all. Hard wood flooring installed on 6-6, the downstairs bathroom remained unusable until 6-10. That day I was told that the carpet had not been ordered and wouldn't not be in until 6-17. The carpet arrived 6-24, the crew worked until 8pm then informed that not enough carpet had been ordered. The carpeting was not finished until 7-1. Some specifics: I had to initiate every conversation, when the job would be started, what time would the crew show up. Why the carpeting job was not completed? When would the additional carpeting show up. We were charged for "clean up" but I had to pick up the mess from the subfloor being replaced in the bathroom. I informed the lead man about the bathroom vent being stuck under the new molding, nothing was done. While the molding was being cut to size, an air compressor was set up inside the living room until requested to move outside, the compressor also leaked oil, luckily on a ceramic surface. The management team appeared dysfunctional. The job in my eyes seemed like a ponzi type operation. Using money from one job to complete the previous one. I would not recommend Thompson Building, nor use them again.
