Review content:
I headed for the ER as I had a yellow jacket bite that was going south. Not my first hit by one of these lovely insects, but the first time I had shown anything other than a minor issue. Not today. The 'doctor' obviously was not up on the symptoms of a reaction to insect bites. His thoughts on the proper medication to take oppose most all the published literature and that of the Wilderness First Aid instructors who have taught me and others. He had no clue and offered no suggestions or an opinion as to what was going on with me. Almost condescending. First time ever I have been treated like this at any hospital, and I am almost 59. I will never see again, and will go out of my way to talk this up with my co-workers and friends. Next time I will take the risk and head to Tacoma for a real doctor/hospital.
